The paper elucidates on the musical language of Svetislav Božić, using example his concertino for piano Chants Metohija, in order to point certain solutions that give a seal authenticity Božić's work. form is typically an oriental variation single lyrical breath, at times singable and danceable other times, but basically one same thought without any prominent dramaturgical contrast; it movement with several variations. reveals distinctive predominant modal harmonization tertian principle building harmony neo-romantic early impressionist provenance, which emerges as result tradition controlled touch modernity originality.
